Future pathways

Pathways and career readiness

We set our students up for success, now and in the future. Future Pathways refers to the many opportunities available to ISP students after they leave school. At International Schools Partnership, our Future Pathways offer includes bespoke initiatives that guide students and their families to make well-informed decisions about their future beyond school. We focus on helping students make the right choice for them. Our students leave school informed, supported and prepared for their next steps.

Informed

We help all students stay informed about the latest insights on future jobs and careers. Leveraging our global network of experts, we support students to create a future full of possibilities.

Supported

Creating a supportive learning environment isn’t just about helping students feel welcome – it’s also about supporting families. Transformative learning happens best when families, advisors, students and schools work together, so we help create a network of support for each student.

Prepared

Our Future Pathways offer is designed to prepare students at every stage of their academic journey. Through the support they receive, students can build the confidence in their ability to make more informed decisions about their professional paths.

ISP careers support at home

Our A to Z Speaker Series gives parents and carers insights into a wide range of careers of the future. Using research such as the World Economic Forum’s The Future of Jobs Report 2025, we identified a list of future careers, from A-Z.Featuring experts from these industries and global universities, the series aims to empower families with practical guidance to help navigate career discussions at home.

ISP careers support at school

Our global community of Future Pathways Advisers supports students to make the right choice for them.

A Future Pathways Adviser is a careers counsellor embedded within an ISP school who guides students and families through their choices beyond school – whether that be university, an apprenticeship, gap year or directly into a career.

Based in schools across our global network, they are accredited careers counsellors, participating in a bespoke professional learning programme designed by ISP, which includes the Times Higher Education Counsellor Accreditation.

Our advisers provide personalised guidance to our students by sharing emerging career trends, the latest university admissions information, and information about bespoke scholarships through our university partners. Read more about how we invest in the professional development of our careers advisors.

Future Pathways Festivals

Our Future Pathways Festivals are university fairs. They give students the opportunity to meet global institutions and stay informed about the latest admissions information.

Partnerships

ISP has agreements with destination platforms such as Unifrog to support ISP schools to confidently guide students through career exploration, developing their profile, exploring further and higher education, as well as university and career applications.

University mock interview programme

We believe that every student should have the support and guidance they need to reach their Destination of Choice. In 2024, we launched a mock interview programme to support students attending entrance interviews at the University of Cambridge and University of Oxford.
