Laude San Pedro International College

Laude San Pedro International College is an inclusive school that teaches the British National Curriculum - from 3 to 18 years of age - and, from the age of 12, offers the possibility of studying Spanish Educación Secundaria Obligatoria (ESO) and Bachillerato (with up to 65% of classes in English) in a highly international environment, with pupils of more than 50 nationalities. Students enjoy a unique learning environment, designed to meet their individual needs in order to enhance their personal strengths and provide the tools and support necessary for them to achieve their best, both academically and personally.

ANDREW ATKINSON

Principal, Laude San Pedro International College

Andy has been involved in international education for over thirty years. Born and raised in England, his international experience has taken him all over the world. Andy graduated with a BA in Humanities from Exeter University and went on to teach Geography and Theatre in secondary schools. Andy studied his Masters at Trinity College, Dublin, achieving a distinction in his M.Ed. in Leadership and Management.<br /> Andy is known for his passionate beliefs in international education and has experience with many international programmes of all ages from 3 to 18 years. His last formal headship was as Director of the International School of London and he has also been a Governor of the International School of Dublin, the first ever IB primary school in Ireland. In the last three years, however, Andy carried out international consultancy work leading a variety of projects in Spain, Russia and most recently a highly innovative international school start-up in Punta del Este, Uruguay.<br /> Andy has also worked for international organisations beyond schools, notably leading the IB Diploma Programme team in The Hague and as Director of Global School Services in Washington DC, quality assuring international schools globally.<br /> He is an avid theatre and opera fan and will travel anywhere there is a great opera house or festival. In his spare time Andy and his partner can be found travelling the world, attending the horse-races with his mum, staying fit and getting into the great outdoors. When left alone, Andy is most happy reading political biographies quietly under a tree.
