The Hamilton International School, an ISP school in Qatar, has been shortlisted in the Best Use of Technology category in the Tes Awards for International Schools 2025.
The awards are designed to celebrate and champion the very best teachers and schools from across the globe. This category recognises thoughtful and considered implementation of technology that has had a positive impact on the educational outcomes of students.
As part of ISP’s strategic partnership with FlashAcademy®, a digital platform for English as an Additional Language (EAL) assessment and learning, The Hamilton International School improved academic outcomes in English language learning and boosted students’ confidence.
During pilots across 30+ ISP schools and LabSchools, over 2,500 students completed more than 4,000 lessons, logging 1,200 learning hours. 80% of students who completed three assessments improved by at least one proficiency band, double the industry benchmark. The Hamilton International School was a standout example of successful adoption, evidenced by a 75.3% engagement rate.
Last year, the school achieved ‘exemplary’ accreditation in multilingualism across key areas of its curriculum from the Bell Foundation, a quality mark that reflects excellence in EAL provision. Being shortlisted for this Tes Award is further recognition of the school’s successful EdTech integration and ongoing commitment to providing high-impact learning for multilingual students.
“This great news recognises the success of the Hamilton International School community in improving student outcomes in multilingualism through purposeful EdTech adoption,” said Emily Porter, Chief Learning Officer, International Schools Partnership. “It is also a chance to celebrate ISP’s strategic commitment to embedding thoughtfully integrated EdTech solutions that support and accelerate student outcomes across our global network.”
”Being shortlisted for the Tes Awards for International Schools 2025 for our use of technology is a proud moment for The Hamilton International School,” said Terry Senior, Principal, The Hamilton International School. “It reflects our commitment to innovation, creativity, and empowering our students to thrive in a rapidly changing world. This recognition is a testament to the dedication of our teachers and the forward-thinking culture that defines our Hamilton community.”
The winners will be announced on 9 December. You can find out more on the Tes website.
