The ISP way of learning

ISP students gain the confidence, knowledge and skills to excel in a dynamic landscape

At ISP, we believe that students should be prepared for a rapidly-changing future world, as technology disrupts the workplace and shapes the skills needed to be successful.

We offer a broad education at ISP which delivers both strong academic success and fosters life competencies such as resilience, collaboration and digital fluency. With this combination, students build their confidence and strengthen relevant skills for the future workplace.

ISP’s Learning.First.™ framework supports our students to be successful now and in the future. We focus on international learning opportunities, with a strong commitment to multilingualism and a spotlight on future university and careers pathways.

“At ISP, we cultivate lifelong learners who excel academically and possess the resilience, adaptability and self-belief to navigate an ever-changing world.

This journey is one of self-discovery, growth and transformation.”

One learner at a time

Our Learning.First.™ methodology adds value to our schools by giving our teachers and leaders clear direction to deliver personalised student-centred education and evaluate the impact on learning. We leverage real-time evidence, where students and teachers reflect together on what is working, what isn’t, and why.

Why is ISP different?

Most schools focus on factors that affect learning like facilities, curriculum and resources. But we do things differently. We focus on designing learning experiences that improve learning outcomes. By moving away from traditional teaching methods, we open the door to learning that goes beyond expectations. Learning that amazes students, surprises them, and transforms their thinking.

The power of metacognition

Our Learning.First.™ methodology is deeply rooted in metacognition – the ability to think about one’s own thinking. This self-awareness helps students identify their strengths, areas for growth and the strategies that work best for them. It transforms the learning experience, making it more effective and meaningful.

How we know we learn

Our teachers and school leaders collect and analyse evidence of learning over time (like exam data) alongside evidence of learning in real time (what’s happening in the classroom every day via learning visits). This evidence helps us understand student progress and identify areas for improvement.

“Learning.First.™ transforms the classroom into an environment where curiosity and confidence flourish.”

We elevate learning

Our proprietary Learning Improvement Process (LIP™) is the engine driving excellence in our schools. It’s a data-powered, school evaluation approach that assesses and enhances the quality of learning through focused reflection and action.

How does it work?

No student left behind

Through the LIP™, we partner with every school in our network to ensure they have the tools, strategies, and support needed to succeed.

“Our educational approach is built around five transformative pillars ensuring that every student continuously grows academically, emotionally and socially.”

Academic achievement

Academic success opens doors to the best universities and careers, giving students the freedom to shape their future. We personalise learning using AI-powered tools to identify strengths, address gaps and keep students engaged. Our goal is simple: to ensure every learner thrives. 93% of our students reach their destination of choice*

Multilingualism

Languages unlock global opportunities. Being multilingual boosts cognitive skills, adaptability and career prospects. Our students master at least one world language – such as English, Mandarin, Arabic, Spanish or French – alongside their home language. This builds confidence to collaborate across cultures, pursue international studies and succeed in an interconnected world.

Life competencies

Success today requires more than academics. Employers and universities increasingly seek individuals who can think critically, adapt to change and lead with confidence. That’s why we cultivate life competencies like problem-solving, adaptability, self-awareness and collaboration. By fostering these essential skills, we empower students to confidently navigate an unpredictable future.

International opportunities

Global exposure fosters open-mindedness, leadership and adaptability – skills that are essential for success in any field. Through our bespoke ILOS (International Learning Opportunities for Students) programmes, over 40,000 participants in 2025/26 gain invaluable experiences in cross-cultural collaboration, leadership and problem-solving. These opportunities shape students into globally minded individuals ready to make a meaningful impact on the world.

Future pathways

The future isn’t one-size-fits-all. Success looks different for every student. We help our students reflect on their strengths, passions and aspirations – guiding them to explore academic and career pathways that align with their unique goals. Whether they’re aiming for top universities, entrepreneurship or creative industries, we ensure they have the skills, confidence and support to take their next steps with clarity and purpose.

The learning experience at an ISP school

A global mindset

ISP students stand out for their global mindset. As an international group, we nurture empathy and cultural awareness in all our students.

Teaching excellence

Our teacher professional development programmes set our teachers on a path to keep learning so they can always be at their best. It means everyone at the school is involved in enriching the ISP student experience.

Learning atmosphere

Our passionate and experienced teachers create stimulating environments. Questions are welcome and curiosity is encouraged. This culture supports students’ self-confidence and contributes to their overall wellbeing.

Student-centred spaces

All ISP students learn in the ideal setting to ignite their academic and personal interests. Innovative STEAM labs, spacious sports facilities, green areas and sensory rooms are just some examples of the latest technology in our schools.
