Mike West
Head of School
In 2000, Mike moved to Spain with his family to pursue his passion for teaching. With experience in many aspects of education, he joined Fontenebro in 2012.
Here, he’s taught English, science, drama and ICT. Mike became the school’s head of learning in 2022. In this role, he helped implement the International Primary Curriculum and maintain the school’s commitment to helping students learn. He was also the acting head of the school during the pandemic.
Mike works hard to make sure our students are equipped for success in today’s international world. This means helping them to become confident and curious learners at school and beyond.
Mike loves open-water swimming, golf, and his beloved Crystal Palace football team. He also has a degree in public policy and administration.
