Gillian Greaves

Head of School

Gillian Greaves is the Headteacher of The British School of Almería. She is one of the longest-serving headteachers in the Iberia region, having taken up her post in 2018.

She holds a degree in Modern Languages and Literatures and is fluent in both Spanish and French. During her postgraduate studies, she specialised in Child Psychology, with a particular focus on multilingual learners.

Gillian has been part of the BSA team since 2007, during which time she has held a variety of roles before assuming her current position leading the school. Although her role encompasses many areas of school life, she continues to enjoy teaching and regularly collaborates with the French department and other areas of the curriculum.
