Afiya Moore is a dedicated educator and leader with 15 years of teaching experience at the elementary level. Throughout her career, she has been committed to fostering safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environments where every student can thrive. Known for her patient and attentive approach, Afiya excels at guiding students to reach their full, untapped potential. She believes that a strong partnership between school and home is crucial for student success and has a proven track record of working closely with parents to increase engagement and achievement. As an instructional coach and school administrator, Afiya's expertise lies in guiding teachers, developing effective curriculum, and analyzing data to improve instruction. She is a firm believer in leading by example, often modeling instructional strategies and sharing best practices with her colleagues. Afiya is a highly visible and accessible leader, regularly present in hallways, cafeterias, and at school events, ensuring she is a supportive presence for both students and staff. She is also skilled in managing administrative tasks, school safety procedures, and general school maintenance. As the Head of School, Afiya is focused on enhancing the school's community visibility through cultural events and improved marketing and recruitment efforts. Afiya holds a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from California State University, East Bay, a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from California State University, Chico, and a Clear California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. She is also a proud mother of two Brookfiled scholars.
