Jimmy Arrojo brings more than30 years of experience in educational leadership. Most recently, he served as Principal of WesternHigh School, where his leadership helped expand Advanced Placement, Cambridge AICE, and STEMprograms, while increasing student enrollment and strengthening community involvement. His focus on fostering a culture of integrity and academic excellence resulted in significant improvements inschool performance and student success. Prior to his time at Western High, Jimmy held leadership roles at West Broward and Northeast High Schools. His career began as a French and Spanish teacher at Hollywood Hills High School,and his multilingual abilities have been instrumental in connecting with diverse communities. Jimmy holds a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Florida Atlantic University and a Bachelor’s degree in French and Spanish from Florida State University. He has also been recognizedas a Broward County Public Schools Principal of the Year nominee multiple times. A first-generation American born to parents from Spain and Cuba, Jimmy lives in South Floridawith his wife, Andreina, and their two children, Isabella and Santiago. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, exploring new foods, and cheering for his favorite soccer team, Real Madrid.
