Head of School

Jeanne Denyer
Campus Principal
Meet Jeanne, our adventurous Campus Principal at Tenby Schools Penang. From a small village in South Africa, she moved to the UK in 1997, working as a diplomat and was posted to the South African High Commission in London. There, she took on the responsibility of promoting education and cultural links between South Africa and the UK.
Jeanne holds academic excellence close to her heart, with an M.A. (Cum Laude) from the University of Stellenbosch, SA. Coming from a family of teachers, she always knew that empowering learners was her true calling.
After starting her teaching career in the United Kingdom in 2002, teaching in several UK schools until 2013, her love for exploration brought her to Malaysia. There, she's been shaping curious minds at Tenby Schools, first in Miri and now on the island of Penang. Leading with compassion, she inspires the next generation of critical thinkers.
Jeanne is always exploring; she's a qualified PADI Divemaster and has even embraced the challenge of learning to write in Arabic. Whether scuba diving in the Red Sea or attempting to master her cooking skills (a good struggle she still enjoys), Jeanne embodies the spirit of stepping out of comfort zones.
Her belief that learning should be a good struggle resonates with her students. Jeanne creates an environment where every individual's voice matters, encouraging them to take risks, explore passions, and grow at the pace of change.
As a mentor to new Campus Principals within the ISP group and a co-trainer of Middle Leaders across the globe, Jeanne's contributions are a testament to her commitment to learning, every day, in every action.
Come and have a chat with Jeanne! Her story isn't just about leading a school; it's about welcoming every individual, boosting confidence and sharing the Good Struggles of evolution. Whether under the sea or in the classroom, Jeanne's journey embodies the Tenby spirit of curiosity, resilience and compassionate leadership.
